Hot of the press - QR Codes

You’re going to see them more and more… it’s that little black and white square appearing on business cards, promotional postcards and press adverts that looks like a bar code… but it isn’t. QR coding is an up and coming trend for business savvy marketers and business owners, allowing them to gather detailed individual customer information data and measure the success of their marketing and advertising. If however collecting potential customers data is not your first priority (which it should be) QR Codes can also be used to help promote your business, products or service quicker as QR codes can be displayed on your business cards directing people straight to your website via their smartphone. Direct to a price list from your sales literature. Direct to informational videos and digital promotions shown on You Tube… the options are endless and saves people time if they want to know more about you or your business there and then.
We’re happy to announce that one of our leading associated printers in Leeds have developed their own technology to create, implement, and monitor QR Codes and our designers in Leeds and our Leeds design agency are currently working with a whole host of leading companies who all agree this is a fantastic way of promoting their businesses and collecting valuable data to measure results.
If you’d like to know more about this trendy tool and how QR Codes may help you contact Mark Womersley on +44 (0) 113 394 4522.
The benefit of QR Codes is that it makes print material interactive. By scanning the code using a smartphone (application usually free from itunes or similar providers) the recipient can be taken anywhere the marketer wants them to go – whether it’s a customer feedback form, promotional code or website page, and the best bit is that this process finally allows the marketer to quantify how many recipients have picked up their print.
